The Mines of Spain 100 is a true Midwest trail-running adventure set in the breathtaking bluffs, prairies, and forests of eastern Iowa’s Driftless Region. Nestled along the scenic Mississippi River Valley, the race features a ~20-mile loop that challenges runners with a diverse mix of steep, technical single-track, rolling dirt paths, and wide prairie trails. Designed for both first-timers and seasoned ultra-runners, the course offers a rewarding blend of natural beauty and rugged terrain.
